Behind the Craft

Every piece in this collection is made by hand by ceramic artisans, continuing Sri Lanka’s long tradition of decorative pottery. The floral motif is applied by hand before glazing, with the white outline carefully painted onto the unfired clay before the deep teal glaze is added across the interior.

This layered process brings the design forward while allowing each piece to develop its own subtle variations in glaze depth, colour, and motif definition.

Product Care

The Binara Olive Bowl is food-safe and dishwasher-safe, though hand washing is recommended to preserve the fine line detail of the painted motif over time.

To protect the surface, avoid stacking pieces without a soft cloth or felt layer between them. Do not use abrasive scrubbers on the painted interior.
