Behind the Craft

Every piece in this collection is made by hand by ceramic artisans, continuing Sri Lanka's long tradition of decorative pottery. The lotus motif on the Neluma Side Plate is painted freehand before glazing, making each piece subtly unique. Variations in line, colour, and placement are a natural part of the process. They are not imperfections, but the mark of something made by hand rather than by machine.

Product Care

The Neluma Side Plate is food-safe and dishwasher-safe, though hand washing is recommended to preserve the glaze and hand-painted detail over time.

To protect the finish, avoid stacking pieces directly on top of one another without a soft cloth or felt between them, as the glazed rim may scratch. Do not use abrasive scrubbers on the painted surface.
